Artist Statement

As an artist, my philosophy revolves around the sacred principles of creative freedom and exploration. 

As an artist specialising in painting, my practice revolves around the profound significance of this medium in conveying ideas and emotions. I strive to create a visual narrative that transcends mere representation, inviting viewers to delve into the depths of human experience. My artistic journey is not only about the mastery of technique but also the exploration of the human condition, fostering a deep connection between the viewer and the canvas. 

 

Recently, my artistic odyssey has expanded to embrace the world of mural art. Venturing beyond the confines of traditional canvases, I have found a profound joy in leaving a mark on the community. Continuous Professional Development will always play a vital part of my career, and that includes learning and practicing in as many disciplines as I can. Murals, with their impact and messages, serve as both a testament to my passion for artistic expression and a reminder of the enduring connection between art and the collective spirit of a community.

 

I strive to in-still a sense of liberation and fearlessness that I have found in my own artistic practice in those who view my work. Much of my work focuses on the subject of sustainable living and how art can be used to raise awareness for local community and environmental issues. Incorporating sustainable materials into work such as inks and dyes explores options and alternatives to traditional artistic and painting methods, as well as contributing to making the world a better place.
